About the Role

We are looking for a QA Specialist to take ownership of quality assurance across KARDS. This role is critical in ensuring that all updates, expansions, and live operations meet the highest standards before reaching our players.

You will oversee our internal QA processes while also acting as the primary point of contact for our external QA partner, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and quality in all testing efforts.

 


Key Responsibilities

QA Process Ownership
  • Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes across the studio
  • Ensure all releases (patches, updates, expansions) are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for both features and live operations

 

Release & Expansion Testing
  • Lead QA efforts for regular updates and four annual expansions
  • Identify risks early and ensure proper test coverage for new content and systems
  • Coordinate testing timelines with development and production teams

 

External QA Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for our external QA partner (Ukraine-based)
  • Define daily testing scope, priorities, and deliverables
  • Ensure clear communication, feedback loops, and high-quality reporting
  • Optimize collaboration efficiency and cost-effectiveness

 

Quality Advocacy
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and product teams to improve overall product quality
  • Track, prioritize, and manage bugs through to resolution
  • Help foster a strong quality-first culture within the team

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA within games (live games experience is a strong plus)
  • Experience managing or collaborating with external QA vendors
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with live service games, frequent updates, or expansions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with card games, strategy games, or live multiplayer titles
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Steam, iOS, and Android
  • Basic technical understanding (logs, debugging, test automation exposure)
  • Experience working in distributed or international teams
